While Lanzarote is not nearly as boisterous as Tenerife or some of the Balearic Islands, there is still plenty of Nightlife to suit most tastes.
Puerto del Carmen
Puerto del Carmen has Lanzarote’s busiest nightlife, with plenty of live music and disco bars. The main centres of Nightlife in Puerto del Carmen are the Centro Atlantico on the Avenida de las Playas (the main strip) and the area near the Harbour (the ‘Old Town’). The recent arrival of Club 18-30 can only enhance Puerto del Carmen’s lively reputation.
Playa Blanca
In Playa Blanca, the liveliest areas are the Centro Comercial Papagayo (near Playa Dorada) and the Centro Comercial Punto Limones (beside the port). The Centro Comercial La Mulata (near the Natura Palace Hotel) and the Marina Rubicon offer some more sophisticated cocktail bars for the post-restaurant crowd.
Costa Teguise
Most of the bars and clubs are situated on the Avenida de Jabillo with some Irish bars and a variety of restaurants in Pueblo Marinero.
There are many Sports and Family Bars in all of the main resorts.
If you are looking for a taste of Spanish nightlife (the non-tourist oriented places), then Arrecife is the place to go. Head for Calle Jose Antonio or the Playa del Reducto (Avenida de Fred Olsen).
You should also be aware that in Lanzarote (and in Spain generally), a ‘Night Club’ and a ‘Discoteca’ are not the same thing. A ‘Night Club’ is actually a Brothel!
