A trail race of 13.5Km in the area of Tinajo.
This race is part of the larger COPA 5 – Carreras Populares (Polular Races) held within the Municipality of Tinajo over the course of 2017.
The other races in COPA5 are:
- 12th March – Carrera Mascaritas – 5 Km
- 1st July – Trail La Vegueta – 10 Km
- 21st July – Carrera La Santa – 1 Mile
- 7th October – Relevos El Cuchillo – 9 Km
- 21st October – Tinajo You Trail – 13.5 Km
This 15km open water race, is a tough swim across the La Bocaina Strait between the Canary Islands of Lanzarote and Fuerteventura. Racers will start in Playa Blanca, Lanzarote and make their way to Corralejo in Fuerteventura.
There are also two smaller swim routes/races:
5Km around Playa Blanca bay.
8-10Km triangular route along Playa Blanca.
Haría Extreme started as a race for trail runners and has grown into a yearly spectacle with markets, concerts, dinners and award ceremony held in the stunning Jameos del Agua Auditorium.
The activities include:
- A non-competitive kids race.
- 10Km Starter Race.
- 23 Km Medium Race.
- 44Km Marathon Race.
- 94 Km Ultra Race – This will be the last of 7 races that together make up the 2017 Spain Ultra Cup XL format. This race will also score towards the Spanish Cup FEDME and Canarian Cup FECAMON.
The Atlantic Anniversary Regatta starts on the 25th November 2017, (with berthing no later than the 20th November) in Marina Lanzarote. The AAR race also incorporates the RORC Trans Atlantic Race from Lanzarote to Virgin Gorda.
The approximate racing distance between Lanzarote, Canary Islands and Virgin Gorda, Caribbean is 2995 nautical miles.
This is a serious sailing race and all competitors may be asked to prove prior offshore sailing experience.
This will be the 27th Club La Santa Ironman Lanzarote.
REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN FOR THE 2018 EVENT
Consist of a 3.8 Km swim, 180 Km bike ride and 42 Km run and take place in some of the most scenic locations around the world.
Thanks to the islands rugged terrain, searing African sun and challenging bike clibs, the Lanzarote Ironman is considered one of the most challenging.
The 2018 Ironman Lanzarote will offer 40 qualifying slots to the 2018 Ironman World Championship in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii.
